Aims
- Explain as many distinct types of removable storage as possible that are utilised by computer systems, digital cameras, PDAs, MP3 players, and other computer peripherals.
- Explain electronics as a foundation for computer and peripheral maintenance.
- Discuss audio systems particularly on IBM compatible PCs, but also on other platforms such as the Apple Mac.
- Discuss video systems mostly on IBM compatible PCs, but also on other platforms such as the Apple Mac.
- Suggestions for debugging computers, PDAs, MP3 players, digital cameras, and other portable devices are welcome.
- Address diagnosis and maintenance processes to aid in the identification and prevention of common hardware and software issues.
- Explain computer system connectivity.
- Discuss the Internet and frequent issues that arise when using it.
- Explain printers, their applications, and how to troubleshoot printer issues.
How You Plan to Act
- Demonstrate how to repair a variety of hardware defects that have been determined to be common.
- Repair a computer’s inoperative printer cord
- Remove undesirable files from a computer’s operating system (eg. DOS)
- Demonstrate how to correct a variety of software flaws that have been proven to be common.
